Luke and Roger is about Luke and his robot friend Roger. It’s also about the future of robot childcare and it’s pitfalls! Luke, the star of the film is played by Luke O Brien, Kevin’s son. The crew were Kevin O Brien and his two brothers, Liam (additional animation) and Eoghan (cinematography/camera work/graphics). Eoghan does most of the work for a video production company they run called Dobol Media. Liam is an effects artist with Brown Bag Films.

Kevin started working on the film about a year and a half a go, as a way to practice his VFX skills. It was initially just going to be a couple of shots, but it was expanded to have a short narrative. The announcement of the One Minute Film Festival gave the crew the impetus to complete the film and a lot of work was put in to get it finished on time.
